New Delhi/IBNS: After registering a thumping victory in the recently-concluded assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi for the third consecutive time on Sunday at the city's iconic Ramlila Maidan.

The AAP has bagged a whopping 62 of the 70 seats of Delhi's Legislative Assembly at the high-profile election, leaving just eight seats for the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Repeating the 2015 results, the Congress failed to win a single seat this time as well.

For his oath-taking ceremony, Kejriwal has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, PM Modi is unlikely to attend the ceremony as he is scheduled to visit his constituency Varanasi on Sunday.

According to reports, Kejriwal is set to start his third term in the government with the same team.

His old team comprising Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Gautam, who have been appointed as ministers in the Delhi government, will take oath along with him.

On the eve of the swearing-in, Kejriwal called a dinner meeting with his ministers-designate to discuss the roadmap for the next five years, said reports.

Sunday's ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 AM but the oath-taking will take place only after 12 noon.

According to reports, around 1 lakh people are likely to attend the ceremony.

Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the event.
