Mumbai/UNI: Following the surge in COVID cases, the primary schools across the city will be closed again hence reverting back to online classes, announced the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Monday.

Talking to media persons, civic chief Iqbal Singh Chahal said, “There will be no physical attendance of students from 1st standard to 8th standard till January 31. However, online teaching will continue during this period.”

“Earlier, the schools were reopened owing to the dip in the pandemic cases. But, now cases are increasing again that is why we have decided to shut them once again,” he said.
