Assam: Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered

Guwahati/IBNS: Police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Assam’s Chirang district on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, Chirang district police launched an operation inside the Chirang reserve forest area near No 3 Udalguri village under Runikhata police station and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition inside the forest area which was kept hide in the area.

The security personnel recovered one AK Series Rifle (factory made), one AK series Rifle magazine, three 7.65 mm pistols, three 7.65 mm pistol magazines, 90 rounds of AK series live ammunition, five rounds of 9 mm live ammunition, three rounds of 7.65 live ammunition from the area.
