Guwahati, May 9 (IBNS): An Indian army chopper made an emergency landing due to technical snag in Assam’s Morigaon district on Wednesday.

The Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Army was flying towards Shillong from Dimapur in Nagaland and forced to make an emergency landing in an open field at Dharamtul in the central Assam district.

All three crew members are reported to be safe.

Following the incident, the army engineer had rushed to the area by another chopper and later flew to the destination.

Assam police Sub-Inspector Jyoti Bora, who was deployed in the area said that, the army chopper made an emergency landing at the area due to some technical snag.

“They didn't want to go due to some technical problem and want to make an emergency landing. The chopper was flying towards Shillong from Dimapur,” the police officer said.
