Assam: Railway Protection Force rescues two minor girls
Guwahati/IBNS: Railway Protection Force of Northeast Frontier Railway rescued two minor girls in Assam on Monday.
In a press statement issued by the CPRO of Northeast Frontier Railway said that on-duty RPF constable N. J. Barman, noticed two minor girls in a distress condition near the entrance gate of Rangiya railway station and on enquiry it was found that both the girls aged about 11 years and residence of Tamulpur police station left their residents without the knowledge of their parents.
Both the minor girls were later brought to the RPF post at Rangiya and handed over to the Child Line, Kamrup after observing necessary formalities.
It may be mentioned that, from 2017 to 2020 (up to October), 39 cases were detected by RPF with rescue of 105 children and arrest of 56 traffickers.
