Assam reports 73 more COVID-19 positive cases, Manipur registers 11new cases

Guwahati/IBNS: Assam on Thursday reported 73 fresh positive cases for COVID-19. With the new infections, the state tally has now surged to 856.

Out of the new cases, 32 cases have been reported from Kamrup (Metro) district, 11 from Cachar district, 10 from Nagaon distrct, three each from Dhemaji, Barpeta, Dibrugarh districts, two each from Karimganj, Hailakandi, Kokrajhar districts and one each from Hojai, Dima Hasao and Lakhimpur districts.

The state has now 762 active COVID-19 positive cases.

On the other hand, Manipur on Thursday has reported 11 new COVID-19 positive cases.

With the new cases, the state tally has now increased to 55.

Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Manipur Health Department Additional Director and Spokesperson said that, 11 persons including nine male were tested positive for COVID-19 at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal.
