Assam Rifles apprehend 3 NSCN-K militants from Dimapur

Guwahati, Apr 29 (IBNS): The troops of Assam Rifles apprehended three militants of banned outfit NSCN-K in Nagaland's Dimapur area, officials said on Sunday.

The Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), conducted an operation along with police representative based on specific information in general area Purana Bazar and general area Green Park 4th Mile , Dimapur.

During the operation Assam Rifles troops apprehended three militants and recovered one point 22 mm Rifle with magazine, one point 32 mm pistol with magazine, nine live rounds, Rs 10,1922 cash, nine mobile phones, one yearly tax rate slip, three pages arms and ammunition details, three pages detail of Sumi Task Force with nominal roll, twelve pages document containing details of gen enrolment and seven SP capsules.

The apprehended militants were identified as Eska Chisi alias Yeshika alias Alex, Kito Chisi and Kheio Sema alias Toki.

The apprehended militants alongwith recovered items were handed over to Dimapur and East Police Station for further investigation.
