Assam : Two police personnel commit suicide in past 24 hours

Guwahati, May 16 (IBNS) : Two Assam police personnel had committed suicide in the state in past 24 hours.

According to the reports, a lady Assam police constable was found hanging on Tuesday morning at the premises of 10th Assam police battalion headquarter stationed at Kahilipara area in Guwahati.

The deceased was identified as Manju Kalita hailing from Suwalkuchi area, outskirts of Guwahati.

In the second incident, a sub-inspector of Tinsukia Sadar police station had committed suicide.

Karna Longpotia, the police official committed suicide at the police station premises by shooting himself with his service pistol.
