Assembly polls: Congress marching ahead of ruling BJP in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, MP, TRS leading in Telangana
Bhopal/Jaipur, Dec 11 (IBNS): After initial close fights, the Congress is moving ahead of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as counting of votes for the assembly polls held in five Indian states are currently going on Tuesday.
In politically significant Rajasthan, the Congress is ahead in 99 seats while Vasundhara Raje's BJP is standing in the second spot with a lead in 72 seats.
The BSP is marching ahead in three.
In Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP has been ruling for the past several years, the ruling party is currently ahead in 87 seats but the Congress is marching ahead in 105 seats.
The BSP is ahead in five.
The Chhattisgarh assembly is witnessing a strong performance by the Congress where is marching ahead in 55 seats while the BJP is behind with a lead in 2 seats.
In Telangana, the TRS seems to be coming back to power as the ruling party is leading in 82 seats in the 119-assembly.
The Congress is struggling with a lead in just 25 seats.
In 40-member Mizoram assembly, the Mizo National Front is ahead in 25 seats while the Congress is ahead in 10.
