Atishi is brave, knows how to fight for people: Akhilesh Yadav visiting ailing AAP leader at Delhi hospital

New Delhi/IBNS: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav called Delhi Minister Atishi "brave" visiting the ailing Aam Aadmi Party leader at a hospital in the national capital.

Before attending Parliament, Akhilesh went to the LNJP Hospital to meet Atishi, who was hospitalised after her health deteriorated due to her indefinite hunger strike demanding water for the national capital.

Speaking to the reporters, Akhilesh said, "I came here to meet Atishi-ji and inquire about her health. She is brave and knows how to fight for people. She has been fighting uninterruptedly to solve the crisis of Delhi people."

"Eversince the BJP government came, Chief Ministers' troubles have increased manifold. The central government has denied support to the Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister has suffered the most due to the central government's discriminatory attitude," he added.

Atishi, a top minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government, began her indefinite hunger strike over the water scarcity on June 21.

She was admitted to hospital after her blood sugar level dropped significantly on Tuesday.

The AAP leader ended her hunger strike after getting admitted to the hospital.
