Bangalore, June 26 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a young entrepreneur's left arm was bitten off by a crocodile in Karnataka's Thattekere Lake.

The incident  happened on Sunday when he went to the lake.

26-year-old IIT graduate Mudit Dandwate, however, survived the crocodile attack.

But his left arm was ripped apart by crocodile.

According to reports, he is undergoing treatment at  Hosmat Hospital.

"Since the crocodile may have eaten that part there was no possibility of reattachment," the Medical Director of Hosmat hospital, Dr Ajith Benedict Rayan, told NDTV. "The patient is in the operating theatre where further cleaning of the wound, known as debridement, is being done."

The condition of the young entrepreneur is said to be stable.

A case has been reportedly registered against him for trespassing the restricted forest area, reports said.
