BJP 'congratulates' Sanjay Nirupam for bringing out Congress's 'truth' in party mouthpiece

New Delhi, Dec 28 (IBNS): As the Congress party is struggling hard to to shrug off the embarrassment caused by its mouthpiece in Mumbai by featuring articles making controversial comments on Sonia Gandhi and and Jawaharlal Nehru, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday congratulated the editor of the paper and former Congress MP, Sanjay Nirupam, for bringing out the truth.
"Sardar Patel had maximum support in Congress to be elected as the Prime Minister of the country but Gandhiji proposed Nehru's name instead. Patel merged 562 provinces into India. But Nehru was in charge of only one and that was Kashmir, which still remains a problem for the country. This is not something that the BJP or Javadekar is saying but the mouthpiece of Congress has claimed so. The truth that Congress had been hiding has come out. I congratulate Sanjay Nirupam,” Javadekar said during a press conference.

This comes after the mouthpiece of the Congress party in Maharashtra, in an article, blamed none other than Jawaharlal Nehru for the Kashmir situation while also mentioning Sonia Gandhi's father as a Fascist member.

The author of this article, Sudhir Joshi, has been sacked as the content editor of the publication.

The party's mouthpiece, Congress Darshan, edited by senior leader Sanjay Nirupam, called Sonia Gandhi's father a member of the fascist forces in Italy.

According to reports, it also said that Sonia Gandhi made a failed attempt to form a government.

The December issue blamed India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru for the situation in Kashmir along with China for not listening to freedom fighter and former home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

While the edition of Congress Darshan caused huge embarrassment to the party on the 131st anniversary day of the party, its editor Sanjay Nirupam was quoted in media saying that there were errors which are being rectified.
