Mumbai/IBNS: BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya was the one who gave the tip-off regarding the alleged ‘rave party’ that was taking place on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on October 2, Sunil Patil told India Today in an interview.

On Saturday, Maharashtra BJP leader Mohit Kamboj in a press conference said a conspiracy was hatched to malign the saffron party and Sunil Patil was the mastermind and was closely associated with NCP leaders.

Independent witness Prabhakar Sail had alleged that Rs 25 crore was demanded on behalf of Sameer Wankhede and others for the letting off of Aryan Khan.

Sunil Patil told India Today that the tip-off regarding the cruise party was given by a Neeraj Yadav, who is a close association of BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.

In an interview with India Today on October 7, Neeraj Yadav claimed he was the one who informed Manish Bhanushali and Kiran Gosavi about the party on the cruise on October 2.

According to Bhopal resident Neeraj Yadav, BJP worker Manish Bhanushali then informed NCB officials about the party, according to the report.

Sunil Patil claimed that he was "forcibly kept under detention by Manish Bhanushali, beaten and threatened at a hotel in Delhi," according to India Today.

He further claimed innocence and added that his role was limited to introducing Manish Bhanushali to Sam D’Souza, who allegedly 'brokered a deal' to help Aryan Khan in the case, the report said.

“Sam, Manish and Kiran did this whole thing and took money [for the release of Aryan Khan],” Patil was quoted as saying by India Today.
