Tweeted Yeddyurappa, "Arrested while protesting against Cong govt for celebrating Tippu Jayanti,Will scrap this Jayanti within 24hrs of forming BJP govt in 2018."

In an earlier tweet, he had said, "the Congress Govt celebrating Tippu Sultan Jayanti for petty appeasement politics."
