BJP sweeps Madhya Pradesh civic body elections

| | Aug 16, 2015, at 09:22 pm
Bhopal, Aug 16 (IBNS): Despite being criticized over the Vyapam scam charges, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has swept the civic body elections in Madhya Pradesh, media reports said on Sunday.
The party now holds all 16 municipal corporations in the state.

This comes even as the Congress party has consistently demanded the resignation of MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over the Vyapam scam.

The multi- crore Vyapam scam that leaves on its trail a series of mysterious deaths involves a racket that operates in getting government jobs and admission to elite colleges in exchange for money.
