BJP to hold 300 rallies in two days in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Sep 29 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is mulling to take out about 300 rallies in two days across Maharashtra for the upcoming assembly election scheduled on October 15, reports said.

The saffron brigade will contest the crucial election alone this time after snapping ties with its long-time ally Shiv Sena in the state.

Dubbing the move as a “dhamaka”, state BJP leadership said that many senior party leaders both from the Centre and Maharashtra would reach out to the people during the campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address rallies on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh is scheduled to address rallies in south Maharashtra, Human Resources Development minister Smriti Irani will cover Pune.

Cricketer-turned-BJP politician Navjot Sidhu is also likely to hold rallies in Mumbai and Union Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar will focus on Nasik, sources said.

Besides these political biggies, Delhi BJP leader Vijendra Gupta, Union Ministers Uma Bharati and Kailash Mishra will also address various rallies on these two days across the state.
