Blast in Telangana cracker unit kills 12

Warangal, July 4 (IBNS): A major blast at a  cracker unit at Kotilingala Devasthanam in Kashibugga area of Telangana left at least 12 people dead on Wednesday, media reports said.

Several people were reportedly injured in the incident.

The injured people were rushed to MGM Hospital in Warangal town for treatment.

The bodies have been kept in the hospital for post-mortem.

Top officials immediately rushed to the spot after the mishap.

Sources told The Times of India that 17 workers entered the factory about 11.00 am and soon there was a blast with a deafening sound.
