BSF jawan shoots self in Assam’s Karimganj
Guwahati: A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly committed suicide in Assam’s Karimganj district on Monday.
The deceased Khurshid Ahmed was on an 11 BSF jawan deployed on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) duty in the bordering district of Assam.
According to the reports, the BSF jawan had allegedly shot himself with his service rifle at Rangamati camp in Karimganj district.
The other BSF jawan and officials had immediately admitted him at Karimganj civil hospital, but doctor declared him brought dead.
He originally hailed from Haryana.
The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
