BSF seize 150 bottles phensedyl in Coochbehar

Guwahati/IBNS: Troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier seized 150 bottles of Phensedyl in the bordering areas of Kaiterbari village under Sitai police station in West Bengal's Coochbehar district on Wednesday.

These contraband items were kept for smuggling from India to Bangladesh.

Acting on tip off, troops of BSF of BOP Sitai of 100 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Kaiterbari, PS- Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and seized 150 bottles of Phensedyl, while the consignments were trying to be “smuggled from India to Bangladesh”. Seized items have been deposited to Police Station Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further disposal.

BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
