BSP chief Mayawati comes in support of lady IAS officer of Haryana
Lucknow/UNI: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati showed her concern over Haryana based IAS officer Rani Nagar's announcement of tendering her resignation after lock down following threats from senior officers.
Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister through tweets urged the Haryana government to conduct a probe and punish the guilty.
Mayawati has taken two tweets one after the other on Sunday, taking the announcement of Nagar's resignation seriously. Mayawati has demanded the Haryana government to take cognizance and take strict action against the accused high officials.

"This is a very serious matter. The government should take proper cognizance of this immediately. Despite many complaints, strict legal action should be taken against the culprits by conducting a high-level investigation into the harassment case against the said female officer. This is the demand of the BSP from the Central and Haryana Government”, tweeted Mayawati.
Sources said that after two tweets of Mayawati, the Haryana government has come into action. Rani Nagar is being contacted on behalf of the Chief Secretary's office and information about the entire matter is being obtained.
Ms Rani Nagar, a resident of Ghaziabad and 2014 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre, had said through her Facebook post at around 5 am on Thursday that she would resign after the lockdown.
Not only this, she also posted a video with her sister on her Facebook wall. Rani suddenly came into the discussion after this post.
