Case against Kanhaiya Kumar for 'derogatory remark' against PM Modi

Kishanganj, Mar 6 (UNI): A complaint case was today filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), against former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students union Kanhaiya Kumar for an allegedly derogatory remark he made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

State vice-president of the BJP's minority cell Titua Badwal filed the complaint case against Kumar in the court of the CJM, seeking lawful action for his derogatory remark against the Prime Minister at a meeting in Kishanganj.

He said in his petition the dignity of the post of the PM had been lowered by Kumar's remark.

The petitioner also alleged that Kumar had instigated the people of the minority community during the meeting he addressed at Anjuman Islamia Hall in Kishanganj. Such behaviour is unacceptable in a civilised society, he said.
