CBI begins questioning of the arrested student of Ryan International School

Gurgaon, Nov 9 (IBNS) : The CBI on Thursday  began questioning a 16-year-old schoolboy accused of murdering  Pradyuman Thakur, a seven-year-old student of  Ryan International School in Gurgaon, NDTV reported.

The agency was on Wednesday granted custody of the Class 11 student for three days.

"The accused has been examined four times by us," NDTV quoted a  CBI officer  as saying.

Pradyuman, a Class 2 student, was found with his throat slit the school's washroom  around 15 minutes after he was dropped off by his father.

Following the incident police arrested a conductor of school bus accusing him of the murder.

They said Ashok Kumar  murdered Pradyuman after trying to sexually assault him. Police also claimed to have recovered the knife used in the murder.

However, Ashok's family claimed that he was being framed and that he had been forced to confess to the crime.

In a great twist to the episode, CBI, which later took up the investigation, arrested the senior student after talking to other students and analysing the CCTV footage near the toilet. They said the conductor is not in the picture.

CBI said the arrested boy wanted to postpone school exams and a parent-teacher meeting,  However, they failed to explain why the teenager killed Pradyuman.
