CBI conducts raids at 30 locations in Jharkhand, WB

Ranchi, July 12 (IBNS): Special investigation teams of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from Delhi carried out raids at 30 locations in Jharkhand and West Bengal, including 18 places in Kolkata and five in Ranchi on Wednesday.

The CBI raided the Kolkata residence of Jharkhand Principle Commissioner of Income Tax Department Tapas Kumar Dutta, who was arrested from Ranchi on Wednesday at HB Block area in Salt Lake Sector III.

A CBI source said that Rs. 4 cr cash was seized from the building.

Meanwhile, the premise of a businessman, D.N. Agarwal, in south Kolkata's Alipore area was raided by the Central investigation agency.

According to reports, Rs. 1.5 cr cash was recovered from the residence.
