CBI files FIR against its former director Ranjit Sinha in coal block allocation scam

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed an FIR against its former director Ranjit Sinha on Tuesday for his alleged act of influencing the coal block allocation scam, according to the reports of Hindustan Times.

As per the order of the Supreme Court which was issued three months ago, the CBI filed an FIR against its former chief.

The  apex court appointed a panel with special director of CBI with ML Sharma as its head to probe into the coal block allocation scam.

Ranjit Sinha, who was the director of the CBI between 2012 to 2014,  has been accused of keeping contacts with some of the people involved in the coal scam.
