Chandrababu Naidu meets Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi

| @indiablooms | Apr 04, 2018, at 04:38 pm

New Delhi, Apr 4 (IBNS): After West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met several political leaders in Delhi, in a bid to garner opposition unity, Telangana Chief Minister and Telegu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu followed suit in the national capital.

Naidu on Wednesday met Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Though Kejriwal was wiped out in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he had won 67 out of 70 assembly seats a year later to establish a widespread dominance in Delhi.

Ever since the TDP left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which runs the central government, speculations have started about a bigger opposition nexus ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Banerjee, exactly a week ago, met several opposition leaders and the BJP rebel leaders like Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha to bolster the opposition unity.

She had proposed an one-on-one fight with the BJP in the 2019 General Elections.
