Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulates Indian PM Narendra Modi over Lok Sabha polls result

Beijing, May 23 (IBNS): Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Indian PM Narendra Modi after his Bharatiya Janata Party registered a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls.

Apart from Xi, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu were among several global leaders who have wished Modi over the victory.

As per latest trends at 3 pm, BJP-led NDA is currently ahead in 343 seats.

The Congress-led UPA is leading in 93 seats.

Other parties are leading in 107 seats.

India witnessed a seven-phased Lok Sabha polls this year.
