Congress releases second list of 21 candidates for LS polls
New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) The Congress on Wednesday released its second list of 21 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections which includes names of Priya Dutt from Mumbai North Central, former Union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde from Solapur-SC, Raj Babbar from Moradabad, Sriprakash Jaiswal from Kanpur and Sanjay Singh from Sultanpur.
The list, cleared by the central election committee of the Congress and released by AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, includes five names from Maharashtra and 16 names from Uttar Pradesh.
The list includes names of president of the Kisan Conrgess Nana Patole from Nagpur (Maharashtra), Dr Namdev Dulluji Usendi from Gadchiroli Chimur-ST (Maharashtra), Priya Dutt from Mumbai North Central (Maharashtra), Milind Murli Deora from Mumbai South (Maharashtra), Sushil Kumar Shinde from Solapur-SC (Maharashtra), Omwati Devi Jatav from Nagina-ST (UP), Raj Babbar from Moradabad (UP) , Zafar Ali Naqvi from Kheri (UP) , Kaisar jahan from Sitapur (UP), Manjari Rahi from Misrikh-SC(UP), Ram Shankar Bhargava from Mohanlalganj-SC (UP),, Sanjay Singh from Sultanpur (UP), Ratna Singh from Pratapgarh (UP), Sriprakash Jaiswal Jrom Kanpur (UP), Rakesh Sachan from fatehpur (UP), Mrs Savitri Phule from Bahraich-SC (UP), Parvez Khan from Sant Kabir Nagar (UP), Kush Saurabh from Bansgaon-SC (UP), Pankaj Mohan Sonkar from Lalganj-SC (UP), Lalitesh Pati Tripathi from Mirzapur (UP) and Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary from Robertsganj-SC(UP).
This is the second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha announced by the Congress.
The party had last week released its first list of 15 candidates for the Lok Sabha, which included 11 candidates from Uttar Pradesh and four from Gujarat.
