Congress sees terror through religious lens: Javadekar

| @indiablooms | May 10, 2019, at 09:01 pm

Bhopal, May 10 (UNI): Firing a fusillade at the Congress camp, Union human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar alleged on Friday that the party compared religion with terror, tried to label Hindu society as anarchist and attempted to make the expression “saffron terrorism” sink in.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party does not view insurrection on the basis of faith,” he averred in a release.

Lambasting the then Premier Rajiv Gandhi’s advisor Sam Pitroda’s reaction to the anti-Sikh disturbances of 1984, Mr Javadekar said that Dr Pitroda’s statement on the massacre of thousands of Sikhs is extremely shameful therefore Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his predecessor Sonia Gandhi should tender an apology.

Describing Madhya Pradesh’s Congress dispensation as an “accidental” one owing to the narrow seat margin vis-a-vis government formation, he said that the BJP’s vote share was actually higher than that of the Congress.

“The regime reneged on promises,” Mr Javadekar added.
