COVID-19: 24 arrested for violating lockdown guidelines in K'taka

Bidar/UNI: Police have registered a case against 24 people for violating the lockdown imposed to control the spread of Coronavirus by offering prayer at a mosque in the city of Bidar in Karnataka.

Police said on Monday that the case was registered after some people gathered to offer prayer at a Mosque in Kamalanagar area under Aurad police station limits.

More than 40 people had gathered in the Kamalanagar Mosque but when they saw police some of them fled the place.

However, police could arrest 24 people and a case was filed against them under various sections of Indian Penal Code.
