Covid-19: Bengal allows gyms, jatras, outdoor shooting for films, TV in restricted manner

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal government on Monday allowed more activities amid the ongoing restrictions in the state to curb the surge in Covid-19 cases.

According to a government notification issued on Monday, gyms may remain open with 50 percent of the capacity at a time up to 9 pm. provided staff and users are fully vaccinated or are RT-PCR negative.

Bengal will allow jatras up to 9 pm. with 50 percent of capacity in an outdoor venue and in case of indoor venue with a maximum of 200 people or 50 percent of the capacity whichever is lower.

The state government has permitted outdoor shootings for films and TV programmes with adherence to physical distancing and Covid appropriate protocols.

The West Bengal government has already extended the ongoing Covid curbs up to January 31, with a set of relaxations, allowing fairs in open spaces and 200 attendance in weddings.
