COVID-19: Delhi govt revises Wednesday's health bulletin

New Delhi/UNI: The Delhi government on Thursday issued a revised copy of its yesterday's health bulletin, correcting discrepancies in the cumulative figures.

The National Capital had, on Wednesday, registered 25,986 fresh cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the caseload to 10,98,051, while 368 people lost their lives.

The death toll on April 27 stood at 15,009, while the April 28 bulletin recorded a cumulative number of 14,616 deaths. Similarly, there were major discrepancies in the total recoveries and cumulative positive cases as well.

According to the revised copy, as many as 81,829 people were tested in the past day while 24,130 people were cured and discharged taking the total recoveries to 9,82,922. The positivity rate declined slightly to stand at 31.76 per cent from Tuesday's 32.72 per cent. The death toll has soared to 15,377.

Currently, there are 53,819 COVID patients under home isolation across the city. The number of active cases is 99,752 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones also rose to 33,749.

Meanwhile, the government vaccinated 51,718 people from Tuesday to Wednesday out of which 32,272 beneficiaries received the first dose while 19,446 were administered the second dose. Till now, cumulatively, 31,01,562 people have received a vaccine jab in the National Capital.
