Covid 19 vaccine supply: WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanks PM Narendra Modi
Geneva: World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has appreciated Indian PM Narendra Modi and his government for "continued support" in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
India has been sending COVID-19 vaccines to several nations, including Brazil, for the past few days.
Appreciating India's stance, Tedros tweeted: "Thank you #India and Prime Minister @narendramodi for your continued support to the global #COVID19 response. Only if we #ACTogether, including sharing of knowledge, can we stop this virus and save lives and livelihoods."
Several world leaders, including Brazilian President Jair M Bolsonaro, have thanked PM Modi for the vaccines.

India sent two million doses of Covishield vaccines to Brazil, which is one of the worst hit nations in the world, on Friday.
The vaccine has been developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University.
It is manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
India had begun its COVID-19 vaccination drive on Jan 16.
