Criminals shot dead JD-U leader in Bihar

Patna, Jan 8 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Armed criminals shot dead a powerful Janata Dal United (JD-U) leader in Bihar early Sunday morning, sparking tension in the areas.

The incident took place in Dhelwa-Gosai locality in Barh police station of Patna district.

Reports said the victim identified as Mukesh Singh was going on his bike when the criminals fired at him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police said the criminals fired seven bullets at him.

The political rivalry is stated to be the reason behind his killing.

The victim was said to be close to water resources minister Lalan Singh.
