The injured jawan has been identified as Subodh Kumar.

Police said they received a tip off that a squad led by Maoist commander Mithlesh Singh alias Durvodhan Mahto was camping in the area, after which a search operation was launched led by Koylanchal DIG Prabhat Kumar and Bokaro SP P Murugan.
