Cyclonic storm 'Kyarr': Sea condition will be rough along, off Kerala coast

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: In the wake of cyclonic storm 'Kyarr,' sea conditions will be rough to very rough over Comorin-Maldives area and along and off Kerala- Karnataka coasts during next 48 hours.

The fishermen are advised not to venture into Comorin-Maldives and Lakshadweep area and along and off Kerala-Karnataka coasts during next 48 hours, a MeT press release said here on Wednesday.

Moderate rain accompanied by wind speed reaching 40-60 kmph (in gusts) is very likely to occur at one or two places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts and Lakshadweep area.

Very Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Kyarr’ (pronounced as Kyarr) will persist over west-central and adjoining northwest Arabian Sea and depression over Maldives- Comorin and adjoining Lakshadweep area.

Sea conditions will be very rough to high over Lakshadweep area during next 48, and southeast and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea from Oct 31 to Nov 2.
