The Akhlaq's now live in Chennai, there Sartaj, Danish's older brother is a Corporal in the Indian Army.

Mohammad Akhlaq, 50 and his son, 22, were dragged out of their home by local residents in Dadri in Uttar Pradesh, and beaten with bricks,  allegedly over rumours that his family had eaten and stored beef.
