Delhi Cabinet clears Jan Lokpal Bill

New Delhi, Nov 18 (IBNS): The Delhi Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia tweeted: "The historic Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill is passed by Delhi Cabinet. Congrats to all who have spent days and nights for it."

"Congrats delhi...#hereislokpal. Jo kaha so kiya," he said.

The bill aims to give  a strong anti-corruption ombudsman.

The Aam Aadmi Party tweeted: "AAP has delivered on it's promise of introducing a strong and effective Lokpal that will not spare anyone in the Govt."
