Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM meet Uddhav in Mumbai to seek support against Centre's ordinance

Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, AAP leader Raghav Chaddha and others, on Wednesday met former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai to seek support against the Centre's ordinance on control of administrative services in the national capital.

Sena leader Sanjay Raut and others were also present in the meeting, which took place at Matoshree, the residence of Thackeray.

Later jointly addressing a press conference, Uddhav said, "We all have come together to save the country and democracy. I think we should not be called 'opposition' parties in fact they (Centre) should be called 'opposition' since they are against Democracy and Constitution."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "Uddhav Thackeray has promised us that they will support us in Parliament and if this bill (ordinance) does not pass in Parliament, in 2024, the Modi government will not be coming back to power."

Kejriwal said the Ordinance on control of services in Delhi means Modi government doesn't believe in Supreme Court.

Slamming the Centre, he alleged that the state governments are being toppled by using central agencies like CBI and ED.
