Delhi farmers and Khap leaders support Bharat Bandh
New Delhi/UNI: The Delhi farmers and Khap Panchayat chiefs have in one voice extended their support to the agitating farmers and will symbolically also support the December 8 Bharat Bandh.
Senior Congress leader and Delhi Dehat Kisan Bachao Manch chief Dr Naresh Kumar on Sunday held a detailed discussion on the NDA government's new agriculture laws at his residence in Mundka and made mention of the effects they will have on farmers.
The farmers and the Khap leaders have in one voice said they are standing with the agitating farmers and will effectively support the 'Mahabandh' on Tuesday.
They have also decided to socially boycott two MPs hailing form the Delhi's rural belt including Ramesh Bidhuri, Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, as they have ignored farmers side, while being in power.
These three leaders have betrayed the farmers of Delhi and the entire nation by supporting the anti farmer laws ,and, further pointing out at Kejriwal he said that Delhi CM has continued with his habit of telling lies even on this matter, because, had he been against the new agriculture laws then he would have called for an Assembly session like Punjab, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and opposed the same in that manner.
Not doing this clearly shows that Kejriwal is working as BJP's team B and misleading the public, Kumar added.
In this discussion, three hundred and sixty Khap Palam president Chaudhary Kishanchand, Ram Karan Solanki, Bawana Khap president Chaudhary Dhara Singh, Narela Khap president Chaudhary Ranbir Singh, Mehrauli Khap president Chaudhary Prithvi Singh and Village Pradhans/former Pradhans of villages across Delhi took part.
