Delhi Law Minister Tomar arrested for "fake degree"

| | Jun 09, 2015, at 05:23 pm
New Delhi, June 9 (IBNS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested by the Delhi Police on Tuesday on charges of possessing a fake law degree, said reports.

Tomar was in a meeting in his constituency when police arrested him and took him away.

Reports said he was taken to the Hauz Khas Police station.

The BJP and the Congress said AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would have sacked him before.

Congress leader Kiran Walia said it was a doublespeak of Kejriwal since he had himself said no one is above law.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted that Tomar was arrested without prior notice.
