Delhi polls: Hope people will vote for development and won't get distracted, says Priyanka Gandhi Vadra
New Delhi/IBNS: Casting his vote in the Delhi assembly elections which is underway, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday said she hoped people will vote for development without getting distracted by non-issues.
Interacting with media, Priyanka said, "I certainly hope that the people of Delhi will vote for development and progress and for the issues that matter most to them. I hope they won't be distracted by the issues which basically don't pertain to their development and to the advancement of the state (though Delhi is a Union Territory)."
When she was asked about a weak poll campaign of the Congress, she said, "No I think we have put in a good effort..."

Earlier in the day, Priyanka along with Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, party leader Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cast their votes in the national capital.

The 70 constituencies in Delhi are up for grab as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is seeking a third term.
While the BJP is aiming to unseat the AAP, the Congress, which had failed to get a single seat in the 2015 polls, is fighting for its relevance in Delhi.
