Delhi to witness strike against sealing drive beginning Friday
New Delhi, Feb 2 (IBNS): Delhi will witness a two-day strike, which began on Friday, against the ongoing controversy over the sealing drive, media reports said.
The traders have called a two-day strike in the national capital.
Around 8 lakhs shops will remain closed, report said.
The meeting between Bharatiya Janana Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the sealing issue in the national capital on Tuesday failed after the BJP leaders walked out of the room over disagreement, media reports said.
The meeting was held to discuss the drive to seal several shops in the national capital by the MCD following the direction of the Supreme Court.
The sealing drive is carried out against the business establishments under residential properties for commercial values. The drive is reported to be carried out in 351 roads.
