Jaipur, Apr 13 (IBNS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who is in Rajasthan on Wednesday, met with the family members of Delta Meghwal, a dalit girl who was found dead under mysterious circumstances on March 29.

Gandhi also demanded a CBI probe into the incident and said, "Delta and her entire family deserves justice. There is only one way to ensure such, a full fledged CBI investigation."

"Delta was a daughter of the this land. She was intelligent too and just like Rohith Vemula, she was oppressed," a tweet from Gandhi read.

Gandhi, who spoke to her family, said that they are convinced that the Rajasthan government will fail to deliver them with any kind of justice.

"The entire famly is convinced that the system here will fail to deliver justice to them," Gandhi tweeted.

On March 29, the 17-year old's body was recovered from a water tank inside her collage campus.

Reports have also stated that she called her father on the eve of her death and informed him that she had been raped.
