Renowned Punjabi singer-actor, Diljit Dosanjh, has been making waves worldwide, garnering an ever-growing fan base.

His talent has now caught the attention of none other than US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who gave him a special shoutout during a luncheon held in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Friday, the US State Department, alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, hosted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a luncheon, where Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the significant role India plays in the daily lives of Americans. As part of his speech, Blinken specifically mentioned the admiration America has for Diljit Dosanjh.

During his address, Secretary Blinken also highlighted the impact of Indian culture by mentioning Jhumpa Lahiri’s novels, the delectable taste of samosas, and the comedic brilliance of Mindy Kaling. He further stated that Americans groove to the beats of Diljit’s music at Coachella. Blinken also added a personal touch by mentioning that yoga keeps them fit and healthy. He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the thriving Indian diaspora in the United States, including doctors, teachers, engineers, business leaders, and public servants, who gathered at the White House lawns to welcome Prime Minister Modi.

Diljit Dosanjh was deeply moved by Secretary Blinken’s recognition. Taking to social media, he shared a video clip of the Secretary’s speech, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the acknowledgment.

In a remarkable achievement in April, the 39-year-old artist made history and filled every Indian heart with pride as he became the first Punjabi singer to perform at the prestigious Coachella music festival. Held annually in Indio, Coachella Valley, California, this grand event showcases top-class performers from across the globe.

Diljit Dosanjh’s rise to international prominence continues to inspire countless fans, and his inclusion in Secretary Blinken’s speech further solidifies his global appeal. As his popularity soars, Diljit’s musical journey continues to captivate audiences worldwide, transcending borders and cultural barriers.
