Don't run away: Rishi Kapoor suggests Aamir Khan on 'intolerance'

Mumbai, Nov 24 (IBNS) A day after Aamir Khan triggered a row by stating his opinion on the issue of 'intolerance', Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor on Tuesday sent out a strong message to the 'PK' actor and asked him not to run away from situations when the 'system' needed a correction.

"Mr.&Mrs. Amir Khan. When things are going wrong and the system needs correction,repair it,mend it.Don't run away from it. That is Heroism!" Kapoor tweeted.

Bollywood celebrities joined the debate and divided sides over the issue of supporting Aamir.

BJP MP and actor Paresh Rawal hit out at Aamir and said a true patriot will never leave his motherland.

"Aamir is a fighter so he should not leave but change the situation in the country ! jeena yahan marna yahan !" Rawal said.

"A true patriot will not run away n leave his motherland behind in turmoil or in troubled times (if any )...don't escape - build it ..A true patriot will not run away n leave his motherland behind in turmoil or in troubled times (if any )...don't escape - build it," the actor said.

Mentioning about his hit film 'PK', Rawal said: "Intolerance !PK did rattle the belief of Hindus but Aamir dint face the wrath of Hindu or THE MAJORITY n but was super hit n made crores !"

Actress Raveena Tandon said: "Guess all those who did not want pm Modi to become PM,want 2 bring this govt down..sadly becoz of politics,they are shaming country."

"Fringe elements were always there,1can always say thats condemnable,action needs to be taken against them,but to spread paranoia?not done," she said.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma said: "Isn't Aamir,Sharuk,Salman, 3 Muslims becoming biggest stars of a Hindu country proof enough that india is tolerant?"

Another Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit posted: "Now that @aamir_khan also feels we are an #IntolerantNation. Let us now go all out and prove once for all that we are really intolerant."

In his earlier post, he said: "#KiranRao led #MAMI whr #India & Indian cinema wr celebrtd. @aamir_khan himslf a superstar loved & celebrtd pan India. Whr is d intolerance?"

Director Sanjay Gupta  said: "#AamirKhan Moral of the story - Do not speak your mind in public, be diplomatic & keep smiling.Else face the wrath of the twitter brigade."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal targeted the Centre and tweeted: "BJP shud stop silencing voices thro abuses n threats. Its high time centrl govt took concrete steps 2 instil sense of security amngst people."

Bangladesh writer Taslima Nasreen said: "We'll get intolerance more or less everywhere in the world.India should be the safest place for India's celebrity filmstar Amir Khan& family."

Aamir at an event said that he and his wife, movie director Kiran Rao had a chat where they considered leaving the nation as they deemed the present situation of the country to be too dangerous for their kids.
