"The Election Commission would like to underline and allay any kind of doubt on the functioning of EVM," the Commission said in a statement.

"It is reiterated that the Commission has put in place   elaborate administrative measures and procedural checks-and-balances aimed at prevention of any possible misuse or procedural lapses," it said.

"The  Election Commission of India has full confidence in the non-tamperability of ECI-EVMs and assures all electors of the country that the  EVMs used by the Commission in elections are non-tameprable," it said.

Delhi will vote to elect a new Assembly on Feb 7.
