Ex-AAP legislator Dhir terms Kejriwal undeserving to rule Delhi for second time

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Maninder Singh Dhir, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday, dubbed Arvind Kejriwal as an undeserving candidate to be given a second chance to rule Delhi, media reports said.

Dhir was Speaker of the Delhi Assembly. He was elected from south Delhi’s Jangpura constituency last time.

“It is homecoming for me,” Dhir said who had earlier quit the BJP to join AAP.

The former Delhi Assembly Speaker said that no one can trust Arvind Kejriwal anymorr, especially after his abrupt resignation in February this year just within 49 days of assuming office of the CM, reports said.

“They got one chance to form a government but got emotional and resigned. Kejriwal is asking for a second chance. What if he runs away again?” Dhir said urging more people to join the BJP following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development drive.

Dhir’s move came ahead of the crucial Delhi assembly polls as the former AAP MLA was denied a ticket this time, sources said.

“I was unhappy with AAP as they were given an opportunity by the people of Delhi to clean the system but they failed in their job. There is no democracy in the party,” Dhir told reporters on Friday.
