Eyes on assembly polls, Trinamool Congress releases 'report card' of Mamata govt's 10-year rule

Kolkata/IBNS: In another mass outreach campaign ahead of the 2021 West Bengal assembly polls, the Trinamool Congress on Thursday released the "report card" of its government, boasting on the works it claimed to have done in the last 10 years.

The report card was released in presence of Trinamool MLAs Subrata Mukherjee, Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Partha Chatterjee, Chandrima Bhattacharya, Firhad Hakim, Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay at the Trinamool Bhavan here.

In the report card, the Trinamool highlights the works done by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her government under 11 subsections that include Economy, Education, Health, Food, Housing and Sanitisation, Electricity, Roads, and Water, Farmers, Women Empowerment, SC/ST Empowerment, Employment, and Social Security from 2011 to 2020.

Through another outreach programme, more than 4,000 Trinamool leaders across the state will reach out to people in all assembly constituencies, blocks, towns, and panchayats and distribute the report card.

The programme will be officially launched on Dec 11, 2020 with a rally in each assembly constituency across the state.

Leaders grouped in 950 teams will visit 27,500 habitations connecting with 1 crore households, covering a total of 2.5 lakh kms across the state, the party, which is seeking a straight term term in the next polls, stated.
