FIR registered against Kanhaiya Kumar and 17 others

Begusarai, Apr 22 (UNI) An FIR was registered against CPI candidate from Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency Kanhaiya Kumar and 17 others at Garhpura police station in the district last night for allegedly manhandling some people on showing black flags to him.

Police said here today that an FIR was registered against Kumar and 17 others following verbal duel and fisticuffs among some people from Korai village with CPI candidate and his supporters. Sources said that the incident took place after Kanhaiya Kumar was shown black flags during his road show.

As it is, Kumar is pitted against firebrand BJP leader and union minister Giriraj Singh and RJD candidate Tanveer Hasan in a three corner contest in Begusarai Lok Sabha seat this election.
