Fire breaks out at furniture shop in Shaheen Bagh

New Delhi/UNI: A furniture shop in Shaheen Bagh area on Sunday evening caught fire, wherein second-hand furniture estimated to be around Rs four lakh, got damaged.

Hundreds of people gathered around the burning shop and tried to douse off the blaze, to save the furniture.

Five fire tenders and police also reached the spot and controlled the flames.

The furniture shop in the form of a shade was located near Thokar no 8, and was owned by three persons, namely Dilshad, Mohammad Sabir and Naushad Ali, residents of Zakir Nagar and Abul Fazal Enclave, respectively.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, police said.
